Okonomiyaki
Hey, its already November :)
I've been pretty busy these recent months. I had some stressful days, but also a lot of great days. As Mr. Chef said, "The good experiences are the ones that count" ;)
Talking about Mr. Chef,, I stole some ideas for cooking from him. Somehow he's more japanese than me (even though none of us are japanese :p),, well.. at least he knows more japanese dishes than me.
I invited my friends to cook and enjoy okonomiyaki with me. Actually it was more like a farewell party (so sad). But let's not talk about farewell..
It was really nice that finally I could eat okonomiyaki with meat \m/
And I have to tell you that it tasted REALLY good (you have to try it!).
Curious enough? Click here for recipe
(oh, okay.. we didn't do the one in the link, but i just cant find where's our recipe :p )

Roasted Corn
My friend and I found unhusked corns in the vegetable shop and suddenly had an idea to roast the corns. I still don't know how I could convince him that I had that experience to roast a corn, because somehow he looked like he really trusted me in this case. (usually, it was me that really trusted whatever he said)
It turned out that we almost screwed it up and this cooking session (yes, lets count it as cooking :p) became very lively (and absurd). But just when you can smell that sweet roasted corn aroma,, you know that you're doing it good. It was worth crazying.
(whats this worth crazying)
Have a nice Sunday :)

Questions about the moon
After reading about how to determine the beginning of Islamic month (lunar calendar) by sky observation, I realized that I have A LOT of questions regarding the moon.. It took me hours to jump from one page to another, trying to figure out the answers of these questions. Then I think that maybe I should stop now. I have life to live (lol :p).
Here I put a list of my questions (also I tried to answer!), so maybe one day I have enough time to explore more about it..
1. Does the "dark side of the moon" mean that this side is always turned away from the sun? Or does it only mean that this side is always turned away from the earth?

Pasta Salmon Cream Sauce
Finally!! :D
Months ago, my friend made this pasta for me. It was soo delicious so that I wanted to make it by myself.
At first, I tried to guess its ingredients and tried to make it without asking him,, but I was failed, hehe (i put one unnecessary ingredient and it ruined the taste!).
So here it is, my latest result of pasta salmon cream sauce.
It was a really nice menu for sahur (our early breakfast during Ramadhan).
Ladies and Gentlemen,, please welcome..

Noodle Pizza
Back then when I was a child, I used to have "pizza mie" at home. The term "pizza mie" was a mixture of english and indonesian word (mie = noodle).
I always heard that making noodle pizza was easy, but I never tried it before. So these recent two weeks -in my lovely summer holiday-, I tried to make some noodle pizzas.
Making these noodle pizzas, I have to be extra careful since now I only have a toaster to work (no oven, no microwave). My first pizzas was disappointing (yet edible), it was quite black on the top but a bit raw in the middle. Then I remember to use my neighbor's fusilli-schotel-technique for my further pizzas.

Milk pudding with mango sauce
Another farewell!
Owh, I got tired with farewells.
About two weeks ago, before my friend went far far away to his home, we had our last dinner. Due to some considerations, we chose his kitchen as our victim place.
My friend cooked main dishes for us (which was great, as always). The other two of my friends brought their Mekong-weed (>> it was also GOOD, reminded me to my childhood snack, Taro).
How about me? Err... I didnt know what to offer, but at that time I'd just bought my first mango in Japan (finally!!) so I came with the idea to make a milk pudding.
Even though it turned out that I almost destroyed my friend's kitchen (I guess he regretted inviting me there =p), but the dinner itself was nice. Each of us decorated our own pudding. Which one do you like?
Surprisingly, after finishing his pudding, my friend said to me that usually he didn't like mango.
Ups! =D
