Homemade Mango Lassi

I used to bike 3 kilometers to my favorite restaurant, only for a glass of mango lassi. I have to tell you that this restaurant has the yummiest mango lassi in the town (though there are only two three Indian restaurant I've tried here). I always wanted to make a homemade version of mango lassi, but getting mango in Japan is a bit difficult (and expensive!). Usually I have to spend 400 yen (40,000 rupiahs!) only for ONE mango.

And you know what?
Several days ago, we found cheap mango in the market! Woo.. This must be a sign from the universe that we have to try making mango lassi by ourself.
Too bad I was lazy to get my blender out of the box, so I merely used a spoon (instead of blender) to soften mango. I also decided not to add any sugar (as I felt that the mango itself was already sweet).
Fast recipe:
LassiMix:
1 cup of milk + 1.5 cup of yoghurt
ToppingSoften:
1/4 part of mango

My friend said that I could get foamy lassi if I blend yoghurt and milk using blender.
Noted. Later we'll try a blended version of lassi ;)

Or even better: blended orange lassi. Humm.. sounds good.

Takoyaki

I think Kaigiman loves "yaki" very much. You name it: okonomiyaki, monjayaki, takoyaki.. (what else?). At least those were what we ate on our first date (so that we called our first date as "yaki-day" :p).

Last weekend, we had our first cooking session and we made takoyaki. It was pretty easy (and fun), actually:
1. For the batter, you just need flour, 3 eggs, chopped cabbage, and a cup of water.
2. For the filling, prepare some slices of tako (octopus), slices of cheese, and tenkasu
3. For the topping, this might sounds like okonomiyaki recipe: drizzle every takoyaki with mayonaise and takoyaki sauce. And don't forget to sprinkle with katsuoboshi and aonori.

Oishikatta ;)

ps: unfortunately, you need to prepare takoyaki pan for this recipe

Chocolate Cup of Happiness

Do you crave chocolate?
Several months ago, I was pretty sad, so that somehow I googled the word "chocolate" and "sadness" (a bit pathetic, huh..). Well.. I didn't really know what I was looking for. But fortunately I found this sweet site and its great recipe: chocolate mug of sadness.

You only need to mix the ingredients in about 5 minutes, spend less than 5 minutes to "bake" it in microwave, and tadaaa.. Please welcome.. a perfect warm, moist, chocolaty companion for your sadness.

Anyway, I'm happy at the moment. So I guess, I'll modify its name a bit to fit my mood ;)
Have a nice monday, people.
